Directly from the widow of Wilhelm Gilbert:

No full Soldbuch/Wehrpass, but at least a replacement doc issued May 6, 1945... (I have the WP replacement as well, plus some other stuff - All original decorations were taken by the GIs, but Gilbert escaped almost naked and returned to his unit to report on the surrendering activities on May 08, 1945)

Willy Gilbert was considered a LEGEND within the LSSAH's AA.
