The awarding of the Eichenlaub is according his own testimony. Although there are photos known with him wearing the Eichenlaub, no official confirmation is known.

This photos come from an incredible footage of the British Pathé in 1961, during an auction of Third Reich Items in England.

Most likely Dowerk's mappe was stolen by a British Soldier after 1945.

I owned this for several years. has been my only formal document in my collecting life. was a great item. but, not kept in the best condition when I got it in 2006. I think I sold to US collector in 2010 or so ... sometimes you miss items you let them go ....
