Could it be Gen.Maj. Werner Gebb? He was in OKH/HPA (Oct.'40-Sept.'42) when he was an Oberst.

I've found something odd, but I'll add it anyway.

RK preliminary award document to SS-Obersturmbannführer Albrecht Krügel
      Kommandeur II. / SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment 23 "Norge" / 11.SS-Panzer-Grenadier-Division „Nordland“ / III.SS-Panzer-Korps / Heereesgruppe Nord

An interest RK to discuss, so I need some help here

I've read that danish author Erik Haaest asked for SS-Obersturmführer Søren Kam's Ritterkreuz to be used as photo for the cover of his book about his life during WW2. Anybody else knows if this solid or not?

Here's the booker cover and a postwar photo of Søren Kam wearing his Knight's Cross.

Any helps is welcome! Sorry for the tiny pics..

          Regards,
          Sepp.

I've just talked to the current owner of Kam's knightscross and he told me
that it's not Kam's knightscross on the cover of the book.

            Regards
            Tom

The photos come from the book "The Face Of Courage: The 98 Men Who Received The Knight's Cross And The Close-Combat Clasp In Gold", by Florian Berger.
And Franz Dutter was also one of only a handful of men who earned these 4 awards:

              1) Knight's Cross
              2) Close Combat Clasp in Gold
              3) German Cross in Gold
              4) Honor Roll Clasp "Heer"

              Kind regards, Peter

                        A photo of Oberst Jäger!

He was one of the conspirators against hittler in 1944, and was hanged at Plötzensee Prison, on August 21th, 1944.

Fasinating! This guy was proud patriotic & brave fought for his country, shame. My grandad was in the BEF, Dunkirk & disliked but also respected the germans.

RK awarded to Generaladmiral Alfred Saalwächter
                                Marine-Gruppenbefehlshaber Marinegruppe West
Awarded the Ritterkreuz: May 9th, 1940

The collector who owns the uniform and cross says: The Knights Cross holder display (the tunic is French made in Paris) is attributed to Generaladmiral Alfred Saalwachter - acquired in Germany in 1972 from the Admiral's daughter. All of the awards, including the KC are the Admiral's originals.
