          Just look at that medal bar. A question from it. He has two eagles mounted on the long service award, why?

            Maybe to eliminate one of the medals instead of wearing both on the medal bar ? That's the only reason I can think of / guess.

              Tony, that makes sense now that I come to think of it. Both would have been crosses like this one, rather than the disks so yes, much easier to just display the eagles on one cross. I wonder what the regs said? Anyway back to this outstanding thread. Thanks as usual Sepp.

                Regulations say that he had to wear the 25-years-cross AND the 12-years-medal. I also believe that he used both eagles instead of the medal although it's the first time I see that on a bar.

                            Do you have any info on the award of Major Rudolf Geisler? He was awarded the RK on 7 December 1943 as battalion commander, Pionier Battalion 662.
