Awarded on: April 14th, 1945

Zobel was awarded his Knight’s Cross for actions at the Seelow Heights, east of Berlin where his unit destroyed 59 Soviet tanks without a single German tank lost.

After the war, he served in the Bundeswehr and reached the final rank of Oberst.

Ordenskissen used in the funeral of SS-Oberscharführer Derk Elsko Bruins on February 5th 1986, in Gerolstein (Germany).

The Knight's Cross is a postwar example and was, most likely, provided by a HIAG member.

Bruins was awarded the Knight's Cross on 23.08.1944, for the destruction of twelve tanks during the Battle of Narva.
