The day before yesterday I received the cross.
Highly interesting cross, the zinc core of the back is Paulmann & Crone, but the front is so different. The frame is probably to Paulmann & Crone.
The corner of the inner frame is sanded.
The punch in the eye is difficult to read. V or A?

Max (Gew44) has another one like your.
In my opinion a very uncommon variante of Paulmann & Crone indeed.

As Fabrizio said I've me too one same core than your. Over the papre bag is wrote on red pencil "Gefr. xxxxx".

The sign on little ring not are A or V, mine have same sign, but are the signs of the vise left during processing.

Nice Max yours has P&C frame, Jan's has S&L like frame and there is no 'blob' between '1' and '9' - it could be early production.

Intersting Michal,
your cross, original without doubt, present the same cutted inner core on back like Jan cross.

Probably a test for the Hakenkreuz, more large than the S&L, but since then he could install well without cutting corners, they decided to mount all those already changed on back to saving esthetics. (Same though made from Hitler when decided the "new Eisernes Kreuz" with major core then Schinkelform, only for esthetic.)

IMHO Otherwise I don't see a sense for the 4 cut back.

But is a personal theory

Sorry to intrude where I really cannot contribute, but, I like the look of this cross (post #7). So often the swastika seems like it was crammed into the space. The little relief seen in its placement on this cross is much more aesthetically pleasing.
