Very nice and as Rodney said the cases are in great condition considering the age. It is difficult to find the 1914 cross with an untorn case, not impossible but difficult.

Lastly the inside of the case

P.S. Ranger; I can find the cases in untorn condition, but I find they are all coming apart at the sides where they close and when you shut them there is a small gap. Has anyone else noticed this?

One reason I don't collect cloth items is the wear and tear and how to display without any further deteriation. The cases are a different story, I have seen the cases splitting at the hinge and only know to just handle with care if I must handle them. I have also seen the gap that occures on the case hinge. I have heard that a dab of clear finger nail polish is good to put on the fringe to keep it from further from coming apart. How would one keep the box hinge from splitting? Any tricks beside just be careful?
