I've tried to view the picture twice now, and it opens fine at first but when enlarged, it is huge and out of focus, and then just disappears when I try to reduce it.

You need to show clear, straight on pictures of both front and back, (preferably not on an external hosting site) but judging by the amount of corrosion (and the repaint) to the core, identifying the maker might not be possible. If you can get good clear shots showing the frame and beading details it may be a help.

Without seeing the reverse as yet, and taking into account the poor images, I am leaning towards a possible '27'??
