LDO KC case, good or not...

Just came across this LDO KC case.
According to the seller it´s pre 45, but these small pics are everything I have.

The seller didn´t honour my questions for additional pics, nor did he give me dimensions.

The case comes (according to the seller) directly from the recipients family.

I would like to hear some opinions on this case, as far as it´s possibly from this small pics.

    Thanks,
    ben

      Hi Ben,

the pics must be awfully small - I don't see anything.

              Ben-

You can email those pics to Dietrich or I and we can post them for you. There is a nice repro LDO case out there (I have one) that looks pretty good. However, the white satin inside the case glows under UV light. It also lacks an additional border impression along the margins of the upper and lower halves of the case where they join. It has nine segments to the hinge (the other round cases I have show eight and ten segments) with smaller segments at the outer margins of the hinge. Lastly, when compressing the upper margins of the satin backing, it makes a crinkling sound, consistent with a synthetic padding, not cotton wool. I can post some photos as well of my repro. I have torn this one apart as well and it lacks the brown color animal glue used to adhere the base to the case and does not have the characteristic "antique" smell that the real cases have here. Additionally, there is not KB or BD (Did I get those right, Marcus) codes or digits to characterize this as an RK case in the back of the cardboard backing of the base. Authentic LDO RK cases are rare, so one should be quite cautious with these.

From the small pictures : looks awfully close to my repro LDO-Case.

Tough to see anything with such poor detail. I guess if the seller is not answering direct questions, I would not pay more than a repro case for it, as that is probably what it is.

The seller could show a photo of the hinge area of the case instead of this photo:

                              Cheers.
