I agree with our esteemed colleagues Douglass and plaut, the Etui is a nice early domed top example which is a good match to the cross.
notice your crosses pin which looks very much like Zimmermann/Godet's pin, see the area where the pin stop turns to the long underside of the pin, and how it is nicely rounded in the transition? On a Zimmermann/Godet pin this is a very sharp 90 degree transition, so something to keep in mind when trying to quickly ID one of these makers unmarked crosses.
Congrats on your find Peter! would you please post further interior photos of the etui? Does the base lift out with a gentle bit of persuasion?
