In my opinion it's probably ok but not collectable because of the missing disc and the repaint. I think it's a Wiedmann.
      Best regards,

Looking for ROUND BUTTON 1939 EK1 Spange cases (LDO or PKZ)

I absolutely agree with Trevor, that is an orignal Wiedmann-EK1.

            Hi!

I'm really happy to hear that, guys! It was part of the estate of an officer I got last week. I also would have kept it, if it turned out to be a copy... but good to hear that it seems to be original!

Many thanks for Your help and kind regards,

            Peter

              Hi Peter,
              I agree with Trevor.

Remember only this: the Wiedmann Screwback have a specific disk design on rear like this:

              Regards

@max:" they also come with a "regular" disc, the typical Wiedmann disc was used on their early crosses IMO

                  Hi Ben,
I've wrote specific disck because I saw alwais Wiedmann with the type that I showed.

But this my personal experience, if you write "regular" disc I would ask you one pics of those to learn more.

How many exemples you found with that normal disk ??

                  Thanks

                  Regards / Groetjes

                    Hello Max,

yes, the disc you show is typical Wiedmann.
I have seen 4-5 Wiedmann with a regular disc over the past years.

Maybe these are replacements, or Wiedmann switched to the "common" disc at a certain time, who knows?

                    Best regards / ciao
(that is as far as my italian goes, except for alfa romeo :-) )

                      Hi Max!

Thanks for showing this to me! I don't have much hope, that I will find one without a cross. But as I wrote before: no problem, the cross is part of an estate and I will keep it for sure - disc or no disc.

                      Kind regards, Peter

@ Ben: Tanks for reply, I agree with you maybe replacement, me too I've seen Souval SB with normal disk no "L58" punched over him.
