EKII Juncker on medal bar hand frosted

    Hallo Gentlemens,
this cross is on single medal bar & hand frosted, late war production, is made by Juncker.

From what I know during the war the frosting process not was made manually but for industrial process of immersion on bath were the core was protected form paper.

For saving cost this process was modified during the war on this hand made painting step.

This cross appear on good condition & sligtly worned.

    Any opinion is welcome.

    A massive thanks to all

    Regards

    Hi Gew44:
Yes a nice Juncker made EK2 with W&L core . The frosting process actualy shows us the oposite - that this is a relative early made and frosted cross .
Silver plating was done only on early pieces and the frosting process had stopped in the later part of the war do to lack and conservation of chemicals .

      Sorry
but if this an early production did have a frame and core Juncker, same the "early Juncker".

This core W&L represent an advanced production of Juncker, him asked the core to W&L probably caused for the bombing over Berlin ,and also nobody early production of any factory was made with frosted frame, like a "Schinkelform Junker" showed from Streptile http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...hinkel+juncker, made on early production time around 1940's.

Infact we found a Frosted cross with PKN and LDO marking, both introduced between 1941 & 1942.
