    WW2 German Cross Authenticity

I got this Knight's cross on a trade and I am wondering if this is a real one.
It looks like it is but I can bend it with some force.
The dimensions of it are correct but the weight is about 23 grams
It is a little over 48 millimeters wide and a little over 54 high
    It is not magnetic.
800 is stamped on both sides and it is upside down.

I wish it was correct but if it isn't I didn't lose much on it.

Please let me know what you think.

    Thank you

I'm no expert but the double stamp front and back is a no no. I also do not like the way the cross is shaped between the arms........I'm glad you didn't pay much....either way. Now let's see what some people with real knowledge have to say.

No expert here but it is safe to say that this is not a period cross.

        Oh my.

I would say you could bend it easily if you tried. I bet it's made of lead.

              Hello slaviksteve,

That cross is without a doubt a reproduction and as you are able to bend it very likely lead based. I'm thinking you already new that otherwise you would not have risked damaging an authentic piece by trying to bend it.

              Regards,
              Stu

It may be a copy of a Souval with a dipping three, but you can't bend those so I'd say probably not

Thank you all, I didn't know anything about these crosses and in about an hour knew enough to know that something wasn't right about it. Then I just wanted to make sure it is fake/reproduction. I will most likely use it in one of my displays with P38s

For $50 that's not the worst filler.
