I purchased this cross from a U.S. vetrans estate. I have other Iron Crosses but this one is different I would like to know wht I can about this cross. The silver is dark and tarnished the center will attract a magnet. It has a small 800 hallmark on the top center on one side that is the only mark on the cross. The ribbon is in terrible shape (see photos). The hanger has a small 800 hallmark as well.

Knights Cross
I am hoping that this is a Knights Cross. I did not post it as such on my first post because I do not know enough about them. I do not want to be the guy who is sent back to the village that is missing its idiot. I have been searching a long time and this is the first cross I have held in my hand that I think is a correct Knights Cross. It measues 49 mm across and matches several examples posted here on WAF. If it is an obvious fake please let me know.Comment

One's heart sinks as soon as one sees the rounded beading around the swastika. A nice Souval is a filler, these are just a disappointment.
