It is, Dietrich, it is! This one comes from the estate of RK-winner and I got it directly from the family together with many other items.

      Kind regards,

      Peter

                Hi Allan !

This is a question for Dietrich and other members here! I am far, far away from being an expert on cloth-DKiG's and never bought one. As written before, mine came directly from the familiy and I didn't have to pay for it. It's period time for sure.

                Kind regards,

                Peter

                  Hi Peter,

in my opinion it does not look like any copy I have seen before and it does have all the features of a periode piece:
                  • High quality.
                  • Correct materials.
                  • Correct aging and wear.
                  • Exactly what you would expect of a tailor made and privately purchased piece.

One thing I do find strange though is the lack of the 1939 date.

Thanks for Your comments, Dirk !
I can only say, that I personnally would NEVER buy such a piece without knowing the source for 100%. Therefore I understand everyone of You having doubts.

                    All the best,

                    Peter

                      Peter,

I have collected a number of items that are not textbook. I can say that if you were selling that German Cross, I would be buying it.

Not the most beautiful version (are there any beautiful GCs? ), but it sure looks believable.

I don't have a problem with either award shown here.

Thank You for looking and for the comments, Bob, Ludwig and von Stubben!

Maybe not a real beauty for everyone - for me personnally (first of all because of the man who once wore it) it is!

                            Regards again,

                            Peter
