    800 Deumer EK2 Spange

    Hello People,

I have one EK2 Spange "L/11" in my collection. I received another EK2 Spange in the last week. IMO it is one "Deumer". It have "800" in reverse and the number "18" in one prong, but don't have LDO code in the reverse.

        Hello Jon,

        Dimensions:

        Buntmetall Spange
        (30,58x30,66)mm
        1939 box (6,21x27,33)mm

        Silver Spange
        (30,97x31,27)mm
        1939 box (6,56x27,46)mm

Is this one problem? Are there doubt of this originality?

        Regards,

        William

          Spange

The prongs look very thick and would be difficult to bend. I checked the thickness of several of mine and they are in the .83 - .87 mm range. Plus 18 is for the firm Karl Wurster. Jim

            Humm,

            The L/11 Buntmetal have 0,68-0,78mm prong's thickness.

            The 800 have 0,88-0,90mm.

              strange one
wouldn't it have the same dimensions?
if it was cast it surely would be smaller, if it were stamped it would be the same
the mark 18 is meaningless to me
I do believe a minute amount of spangen were stamped in silver, but this one? nice details but I don't know I'm sorry. A bit weird for me
              regards

                Hi William
it's very close with the good L/11 but has some rounded details in my opinion.
quite sure that those 800 and 18 are not original stamps.
honestly I have some doubt about originality.

Would like to see better pics of the stippled area around 1939 and Swaz, it seems a bit undefined. More data of other Deumer Spangen would also help, esp measurements of Silver ones but not even sure they exist.

Is there other makers in Silver that match this one?

                    Hello,

                    Thanks for replies.

                    Robert: Don't have other marks.
Fabricio: the L/11 Spange was put here some years ago (september/2007) and in that moment, all posts was that the item is original and good.

IMO all the details looks to soft.
I would not pay much for it.
