    6 EK1 + 2 KVK1 / My Catches from Hettenleidelheim / August 2012 ;-)

    Hello it was a very nice weekend ;-) 6 EK1 + 2 KVK1 !!!
I found 5 EK1 as upgrade for my Data Base www.ek1-dna.de

#1.) I'm lucky to get the EK1 Micro L/13 Screwback Variant again! The old pictures of my first Micro L/13 SB are very bad, so I try hard to catch it again! After 5 Years I did Here the old pictures:

This PM EK1 it's offen mixed up with the L/12 Juncker, due to the maker mark is not easy to read! If the new owner find out, that this cross is not a Juncker, most owners getting very disappointed.
Personal, I don't know why, because this EK1 Variant is imo more rare than a marked L/12 Juncker Screwback ;-)

Here it is! Hope you like it

#2.) The core of this S&L is not in a good condition, but this EK1 will also upgrade my Data Base! Here the old pictures:

What do you think? Do I right! Maybe I will find in the futur a better L/16 marked on a pin with early Pin Setup ;-)

#3.) Here you will see a very rare and interesting Rettenmaier!
1st: the 5th Pinsetup is rare (like used on Deschler KVK1)!
2nd: Take a look on the 9 o'clock arm! Position mark for EK2 frame!
3rd: They remove a lot of material next to the swastika!

I know that the EK2 frame was nearly round and after Rettenmaier remove the material, the EK1 looks like a Schinkel B from the inner frame ;-)
For me it is a very special Variant! I never ever saw it before

IMO very rare and until now I do not know why Waechtle remarked former [100] with L55 maker mark!? Do you have an idea?

                #8.) KVK1 [L/50] looks like a mistake - see the following link!
I was sceptic too, but due to have the bring back guarantee, if it's a fake,
I will have than pictures of a fake!

                    Stefan,

Wow. This is the first time I have seen your EK1 DNA site and I am thoroughly impressed. It makes it so easy to identify the myriad of makers. The straight-forward and logical step-by-step formula you developed to ID every EK1 badge is perfect. Well done dude!!!! I can't wait to start exploring your site!

Keep up the great work as this is a great evolution to reference work!
