Wanted to share this photo of Panzer ace Hermann Bix wearing a cloth German Cross in Gold.

The interesting aspect of this photo is the color of the backing cloth on Bix's cloth DK.

It appears that the backing cloth on this cross is white! Most folks typically associate a black backing material.
