              Hi

The site ww2 awards have a list. On that one there are 9 awarded the
cross with the name Hagen. There are 2 Zeidler, also a Markus Zeidler.
              (Awarded feb 1942).

Original cross, but it must have been worn more than just a month or two to get that wear, so I doubt it´s Johann Zeidler´s cross.

I always find it amazing that some name scratched into the back of a badge is taken as 100% period no questions asked.

What does it matter? Nobody can give a 100% answer anyway, unless the cross comes directly from the veteran or his family. One thing is if there´s a name of a person who didn´t get the award at all.
