    EK1 1914 but with LDO mark L59 ;-)

    Here is another EK1 for my database.

    Nice L59 marked EK1 with 1914 core .
    A few variations are around : ---> like this one might have had a different pin at one time .... rembnance can be seen at the top .... or is a mounting 'platform' ???
    Pictures I had a long time , not the best .

      Interesting to note on the majority of these 1914 core L59s ... that they have a different --> round inside corners and a tighter/smaller trimmed flange .
      As you have both ... what does this last one measure to ?? A good study cross . These inside round corners --> Can you tell if they are cut/trimmed that way or originaly pointy and just curled under making them round ?? My guess is they are cut round and with a small flange . This would mean Rettenmaier had 2 different trimming tools . Wonder if they tried to make the 1914 core version just a bit smaller than the 1939 type . We will see what yours measures at .
      I did a comparison , that shows the same frame die , differnt core and flange trimming . Frequently the frames are rotated - as is the case here .

        Just to add : unfortunatly a poor picture - the only picture I have - of L59 marked EK1 - 1914 core- disk back - and the regular trimmed frame with 'pointy' inside corners . It has the different type of 'filled' squere -- some times with and without the L59 mark .... and no ' S ' Mark .
