Only going by the EKI book,it looks like a good double marked Zimmermann,but I'd let the real experts chime in as well.John

We need better pics because something is not right with this cross.

For one thing, the core is a fake. As for the rest of it, it's really impossible to tell with these photos.

If you must make a decision based on these pics alone, pass. But please try to post good pics, as this one may be interesting.

The best idea I can think of is that this was a damaged 20 that had its core replaced.

Maybe it has been re-nazified? I don't know. But I know the core is a fake one, although the rest looks probably okay from the photos that you show.

I hope others (Ben, Fabrizio, etc.) will see this and comment also.

I don't like the frame... I am not sure it's a Zimm frame. Maybe just my eyes,...
Backplate & pin seems OK


Could it be a ground dug Backplate added on a repro frame & core ????

my opinion match with Trevor and with Michael too, the original parts are surely on the back side only.
I have doubts on frame, that date is surely fake.

Francesco, per favore puoi fare delle foto del profilo sui 4 lati della croce, in modo da poter vedere la qualità della chiusura tra la cornice frontale e la piastra posteriore. Se possibile, una vista verticale un poco migliore di quella già mostrata. grazie.
