I just wanted to show off my new or rather First Dk..... Have to say they really are something beautiful in the hand...

This could become a quite intensive addiction I think...

congratulation, based on these pictures it looks like a nice Zimmermann light 20, it could be an Otto Klein as well though.

I have to agree, DK's are VERY addictive.....get ready to line up some more cash to get the next one

Are you able to decipher the writing in the back?

Yep she is a nice Lite 20 Zimmermann ... A big thankyou to Tim Calvert for selling me this beauty as I know how much he wanted to keep her

And yes saving to pennies for the next one as we speak...

regarding the inscription on the reverse the holders name was Oberfeldwebel Gustav Kloth and this is some info I have at hand so far: Beobachter 3. / Nahaufklärungsgruppe 2; 02-10-1942 (EP); 12-10-1942 (P-EL)..

Also Tim just kindly mentioned that Kloth was a Beobachter when he won the Goblet, but was a pilot flying bf-109s when he won the DKiG.

Haha it might not be a rare one as you say but the courage it took to earn it rare or not is beyond doubt. A nice medal and as far as I am concerned the nicest award out there. They do feel great in the hand. Wait until you get a heavy Deschler in your hand they feel great. I have a love affair with these awards. I am just going to pop another 50 euros in the pot towards one.
