    Spange Attack!

    Hi Everybody,

I just wanted to ask your opinions on these Spanges, to the EK1 and the EK2.

The Spange to the EK2 looks okay but I have concerns about the Spange to the EK1. The obverse looks pitted under a loupe, as if cast.

    Thanks for looking.

    Best regards,
    Toby.

            Hi Toby,

I rather like both of these. The 1st class is an unmarked Otto Schikel and the 2nd class a B.H. Mayer. I don't see anything that overly concerns me on the Ek1 Spange so IMO both good originals.

I also like both and think PatrickĀ“s observations are very accurate!

                  Hi Toby,
is there any way to show the 'pitting' to the reverse of the EK1 spange?
                  just for interest's sake...
                  regards

                    Hi Jon,

I'll try and sort out an image today. It isn't as obvious on the reverse.

                    All the best,
                    Toby.
