The hinge, pin, and recessed catch are identical to my maker-marked S&L: Those are the first clues.

The stippling on the arms is absolutely identical to my marked S&L: That's the clincher!

George has waaaaaay too much time on his hands if he can spot specific variations in stippling bumpies at a glance! But he's right if you pick a specific spot and check!

Well, like I said the reverse setup was the first clue. That led me to look at the front. But in truth, I have looked at a lot of KVKs close-up. After a while you develop a knack for spotting stippling patterns.
