    Hoffstätter of Bonn EK_1

    Hello all,

Here's my new L/19 I just picked up for my collection. A very high-quality maker in my opinion!

Couple interesting things about this maker:

They used the same frame and core as maker "11" Grossmann did for his EK2s, although Grossmanns are all magnetic and these are almost always non-magnetic.

Which brings up the second thing... I have never seen a magnetic-core L/19, although someone once told me he had one. Been looking for evidence ever since.

Is this one magnetic? Thanks for your help.
              Best regards,
              Streptile

No, it is not magnetic. The core is non-ferrous

This is one of my favorite EK makers Williams is way above average in condition as most have lots of paint loss (like mine)
