        This cross obverse design looks just like L.Lauers KVK2 14 marked crosses and that's why I'm linking this cross to Lauer.

          Something isnt right with this one......

          I think this cross is a cast copy. Hear me out.....The points on almost all ends are not equal lengths, the hook is sloppily soldered off center, and even the hinge also crudely attached. Look at the suface of the back, it has tiny pocks like sand leaveswhen cast, and the oakleaves on the front wreath have poor details to say the least, and a cracked end you dont even need zyglo to see, or magneflux even. Now continue to look at the back reverse part of the wreath area between each of the corss arms, and they are not radiused, but square, and make a square not round as they should be, and the champfering on the whole thing has to great a break on its edges. If you held it up, and cupped your hand over the existing light to see its shape in the shade as we would say in the shop, the missshapen cross cannot have come from a die struck source, and these points i have outlined here about its askewedness, is very evident , but can clearly be seen just as it is in the light of these photos(thats why all shots should be straight on, not angled). I also see a filler in spots , like used when painting autos, likely to repair pocks or holes , but easily detected here, as there should be nothing like that even on any badges , so...Give it a think, regardless what maker this one appears to be, I think it can't be a period item in my opinion. At least not one I would have in my collection. I have nothing against unmarked versions, but I hope you see what i'm referring to ,there is more but i think these few points are sufficient enough, so nothing personal I just dont fancy it.

              I do not agree with this, in my opinion this is a well used and worn cross, and I can also say that all awards made ​​in Germany during ww2 was not made ​​of supper quality, look how poor quality Meybauer had on their KVKs.
