    Record Price WW2-EK2 on eBay

Hi, I have just finished watching an auction of a WW2- EK 2nd class go for $620 AUD. I don't know what was so special about THIS cross. To me it looked like the usual , looked original, and in nice condition. Can anybody explain why this cross went for so much? I believe it may have been just 2 guys refusing to give in to the other. As i don't know how to do the link thing, i will give you the item no: 300698715492, it was on eBay Australia. (if you can't view it, maybe someone can tell me how to make a link so you all can view it. Helene

Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

          That is interesting -- it's a standard K&Q.

I think what happens is, there are a lot of folks who believe they are extremely rare because they never see them on eBay -- not realizing that eBay bans the sale of these items. So when one does slip past the censors, it appears as if it's the only one on the market this year.

I've seen this happen before, with the same item.

2 or 3 buddies having a laugh at the sellers expense. I'm sure they will get right back to him when he send them an invoice ....

At that price you'd swear they'd paid in NZ dollars

I wonder if the grand parent knows the seller just sold off the gift. Silly, just silly.

Seeing as it was their "late" grand parent then I doubt they know

May i just add 'fella's, that here in Australia, there is a one in twenty chance that the person standing next to you is an IMMIGRANT or their parent was. We are a totally multicultural society today. I, am third generation German/English, so enough of the "Australians" bit ok.

They may have thought this is a set up for a Female or was actually an RK etc. other than that it makes little sense
