It has the flaws one would like to see on a genuine Deschler. IMHO an original.

Dietrich, I've got a stupid question. Why was a silver paint added to a cross in pure silver? IMO that presents a much "cheaper" appearance.

                          cheers
                          Peter

                            Hi Dietrich,

Can you point out the flaws for me (us)? I am not familiar with these.

                            Best regards,
                            Blitz

That I do not know since I was not sitting next to the piece the last 70 or so years. I don't even know whether it is silver paint as you assume.
All I can say is that the piece has the typical Deschler flaws and based on that (and that alone since I don't have the pievce in hand) I think it is a good piece.
