My first Iron Cross 1st class

Hello all, I have just picked up my very first cased EK1. It's maker marked 26 which means this one was made by B.H.Mayer.
I have had a EK1 before but that was without a case and turned out to be an L15 fake.
I'm very pleased with it but due to the disappointment with my previous EK1 I would just like to double check with you all that this one is completely correct.
What do you think ? Thumbs up or thumbs down ?

Be careful with it. Especially the paint. Don't try to wipe or clean it.
It looks like rust is trying to push the paint away from the cross.

Thanks very much everyone who has taken the time to help me out, it's very much appreciated especially when I consider the number of threads on this forum asking for opinions on various crosses, it must get quite tedious for you !
Jamz - you're quite right the metal does seem to be reacting with the paint but this is only apparent on very close inspection or on magnified pictures like the ones in the original post. Rest assured I will not be doing anything that may exacerbate any problems.

Thanks once again to you all.

Your EKI is a good Mayer.

It´s always better to study well before you buy for your collection. If you are not sure, please post item here on WAF before you go for it. Here are lot of guys that are ready to help.
You will get burned if you jump on a item and ask "Is it thumps up or thumps down?" afterwards.

                Good luck with your collection
