    DKiG

    Hello everyone,

I was wondering what is your opinion on this DKiG? Sorry about the bad photos but I'm trying to get more from the seller.

    Regards,
    Stephen

I'm not keen at all from what I can see - it looks brand new and I've never seen a pin like that either. I'd certainly want better (ie focussed) without the censorship.

Thank you everyone for your help. The reason why I asked for opinions on this cross is because there is a 1957 DKiG that is identical to this except it has no swastika.
                See the thread below.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

                Regards,

                  Hi Stephen,

after WWII you could buy all the Third Reich pieces as copies, made by different makers.

With the law from 1957 it was strictly forbidden, furthermore to produce and sell pieces with Nazi symbols.

It was not really a problem, to change the swastika with the new iron cross with the oak leafs, and you had a 1957 version. A copy changed to an "Original", the 1957 version.

Price for a copy DKiG in 1956 = 32,- DM, price for a 1957 version a little bit later = 33,60 DM, the case included.

                  Uwe

                    Thanks Uwe,

So would you say that this piece would have been built between 1945 and 1957?

                    Regards,
                    Stephen

Defiantly not! It is much later I would say on the high side the 1990s on the low the 1960s

                        Hello there,

This is a 1957 version with a swastika re-applied to it more than likely.
