    Spange EK2 - Opinions Please

I'm posting this for a German friend. It is an unusual Spange EK2, especially the way the prongs are attached. What's your opinion?

    Thanks,
    Dietrich

Marking is either L/53 or L/58.

        I'll bet it's "L/53." (Didn't we just have a thread on these?)

Yes, it is the typical L/53 mark. Also the spangeĀ“s obverse design is the same as on the other L/53s we identified.
The reverse setup is unique so far, maybe it is the one used on their zink spanges? Is that one zink? The strange crimping is kind of similar to what Hymmen does on some of their other awards.

          A highly interesting spange!

Would you please have another picture showing the date?
          Cheers, Frank

Danke, Dietrich, this also confirms L/53.
              Cheers, Frank
