    Is this EK2 Spange good?

Hello all, i wondered if my spange is any good...I bought it off the e-stand not so long ago, but i would like some reassurance Also, would anyone be able to tell me What metal a L/12 Spange would be made of? And one last question, if 1 prong was broken off, would it decrease the value? Any help is appreciated, many thanks!!! Kane. P.S Sorry for all the questions, as i am new to spange collecting

The pics are a bit out of focus, it looks like an L/18 clasp.
    It's not a Juncker spange.

    best regards,
    Ben

      ....

So, are you proposing it is a fake?

Th clasp itself looks good, but the pics are a bit out of focus.

IMO an original clasp with a post-war mark.

The clasp looks original, but it should have an L/18 mark .
Most likely the clasp was unmarked and someone added an L/12 mark, because Juncker is popular and more expensive.

So he ****ed up an original with a fake mark to make a quick buck.
As Steiner said the value is decreased by the broken prong, but the biggest damage is done by the L/12 mark.

Oh, thank you steiner! If i repaired the prong, would its value still be decreased? And also, would you know what metal it is made of? It is non magnetic

Don't repair it. I would say it's made of tombak. I agree it's a good Mayer Spange with a bogus L/12 mark.
                      Best regards,

PS: I've never seen a Spange that is magnetic. They're either zinc or tombak (aka buntmetall).

Hello, one last question, if i were to sell it, with its bogus mark and 1 prong missing, how much would it sell for do you think?
