DKiG - Opinions sought please before possible purchase

    Greetings:

    I've been offered this DKiG.

I've researched the cross and it seems to be a good one, however, there are two discrepancies I would like to open to more knowledgeable people.

1 - The backing plate. Is this a genuine period plate?
2 - The rivets. They appear deformed. Does this suggest that the rivets are post war or just have been pushed in to tighten the cross?

I've been told the swastika is NOT loose.

Any comments greatly appreciated as any DKiG is a major investment in funds.

Thank you - the experts here are always VERY helpful, WilloW

Franco - it's my understanding that on all DKiGs the swastika SHOULD always be flush to the backing plate. Is this correct? Thanks, WilloW

            IMO,
1.the swastika of Deschler is a bit larger so that its edge of swastika
always goes over the red ring.
2.the obverse of swastika looks not good.
3.considering the rivets reworked, there should be something happened.
            4.cross maybe from Philipp shop

my conclusion: the swastika is replaced. the cross itself is good.
so whether you buy it or not depands upon what is the offer to you.
for myself, i would rather pay more for an excellent one.

Thanks Jason - too many "ifs" on this one so I'm passing and waiting for a more typical example to turn up, WilloW
