Some 1939 KVKs & Miscelaneous Items

    Hello to all,

It was slim pickings today at the local gun show, but I was able to find a few ordinary items to bring home with me. All three 1939 KVK2Xs are the early bronze type and none of them are marked on the suspension ring. The one 1939 KVK1X is a zinc Steinhauer & Lück and the other is a zinc Wilhelm Deumer.

    Best regards,
    Tom

                Deumer reverse:

(I didn't take a picture of the maker mark, but it is a '3' within in square, stamped into the center reverse.)

When you don't know, you just gotta ask.

Were the early bronze type ever silvered?

I have one and have always wondered. Mine looks like it never had a coating,
                    ever ??

                    Thanks, John
