    Minters

These are the only 2 minter crosses I have (ie. without tarnish... I have other minters but heavily tarnished.).

I have a question about the EK2... see how the loop is attached to the frame via as small hump? Does this signify an early piece or purely a manufacturers preferred method?

ps the core rattles slightly in the frame.

Looks like it may have been repaired at some stage to me.

No sign of any repairs... all original frosting around the loop and frame. The pic just makes it look odd, for some reason.

          Hi Richard,

I have one of these myself.(EKII) I bought it from Detlev a week or two ago.
It shares the same characteristics as yours, the core rattles and it has the "hump" where the ring attaches with no sign of repairs.
If Munich reads this I hope he can help, I`m sure he posted a pic of an EKII with all the frosting and I think that one had a "hump" as well.

          Best Regards.

P.S. If anyone has any pics of mint EKs please post them coz they are nice to see!

            Hello Rich,

Here is one of my better EK1s...L/11 Deumer. Marked in a box beneath the catch.

I got this one from some character in Hamburg, Germany by the name of Niemann.

                Dear Adrian & all,

here is my cross Adrian mentioned, it has the hump. I had two similar ones of those, one of which I recently sold to a forum member.

                Cheers, Frank H.

I know this doesn't have anything to do with EK II "humps" but it's one of my favorite EK Is. L/10 marked.
