this catch is the later type, the type Deumer used on his early "non schinkel" EK1...

This is my cross that I have for sale on estand.

The cross was purchased from Klaus Butschek.

To me it does not appear to be repainted. It looks like wear to me.

                    Although I could be wrong.

Under a loop you can see what I call crazing of the paint with patches that appear to be wear.

There is no paint on the frame where it meets the iron core.

Just in case the cross has been repainted it is no longer for sale.

About the paint, it was just an observation and a question. Very difficult to know from the pics...
That's why I asked if it was the used (prom wear, cleaning ...) or if it was repainted .

It is still a nice cross anyone can be proud to have in its collection

I think wear from cleaning but am not willing to take the chance on selling the cross to Steiner.

It's to your honor, but it was only a question...
It can be used from wear or cleaning ... Maybe you have to wait more answer from experts.

And as told it is a really nice & uncommon cross for anyone
