    KVK 1 on estand

......Is this a genuine accepted variation of KVK 1 ??

Yes it is. It's attributable to Petz & Lorenz. I'd wager that the mark on the pin is "L/18" as I have seen two other P&L KVK 1s so marked, likely because Mayer obtained P&L's stock after they went out of the awards business in 1941.

      Hi George......

......Thanks very much for helping me resolve this one. For the life of me, I don't recall ever having seen one with that hinge set-up before.

I know that I have seen a similar hinge on badges before, but I wasn't sure if that configuration could be found on crosses as well.

      Much appreciated!

I hope to get to the BAM this year, and if you can make it too, I hope to see you there as well.

      Regards,
      Bruce
