Going out on a bit of a limb here, I would conclude* that the box is genuine. In my opinion without comparison next to the fake, the writing dosen't resemble that of the 'skinny' script on the fake, the spacing between the letters looks acceptable also.

From as much as I can tell the 'paper' dosen't look like the blotchy fake box paper either. Inside the fakes have that very modern 'grey' cardboard look, like on the back of an A4 pad or the inside of a shoe box. (whats that like)

*I would assume an unconfirmed genuine as far as I'm concerned. I'd like Rick V or Neil to also view this or anybody else with a genuine one. Sal I think has one too.

I have the 26 mint in box, but alas no outer carton for it

Oooh god, uumm I don't know ? I would expect an award to be a $100 more with the outer carton, condition is also relevant....you do see mint ones of these quite often with the medal and box.

... box looks legit per the photos shown... should also be a maker code on one of the flaps inside, but based on your photos I'd say it's pretty good. This condition MAX $100, but $60-70 USD is more realistic. I'm sure Marcus would take it for that!

I do not know, but would not be surprised if it were the same, as the printing on the fake is very good!
