S.O.S. Spange -- Boerger 1. Pattern

I'll show a few of my finds from the S.O.S. First up is this Boerger 1. Pattern EK1 Spange. It's hard to describe how nice this thing is. The obverse is still frosted pretty much all over except the highlights, which is burnished to a shine. I'm pretty sure this is how they were delivered.

The Boergers don't tend to hold their frosting too well so this is a real score.

It's the less common screwback variety of this Spange. All screwbacks of this type that I have seen are of the 2-piece variety with hardware similar or identical to that used by Otto Schickle.

Unfortunately (for me) I don't collect these, so this one will be moving on to another collector. I have a habit of never posting anything I sell (to give the new owner the pleasure), but I couldn't resist showing this one.

Thank you all for the nice comments. Yes, I found this Spange during the last couple of hours of the last day. The place is so huge -- it just goes to show, never say die.

I strongly suggest to all EK collectors not to come next year. There's not much good stuff there, and the prices are insane. Really. Don't come...

Also thanks for all the nice PMs. I should have been a bit clearer -- this Spange already has a buyer.
