Between the reference materials available on this site, plus the outstanding book one can purchase from Dietrich, there is no reason or excuse for anyone to buy an EK1 before they are sure it is good. This was not true when some started collecting in the 1990's or earlier, but today it is.

I agree that everybody needs to do their homework but with so many fakes getting better and better anyone can get fool.
