Kvk with sword and Ek

As there is a slight difference bewteen awarded the Kriegsverdienstkreuz and the Eisernes Kreuz

Roughly seems like the KVk with swords was for action farther than the assigned duty and the EK for bravery

Among your paperworks do you have exact reasons for the KVK with swords to be awarded to a soldier ?

I know of at least one case where a Luftwaffe Officer was awarded the KVK for being wounded in an air raid.
