    Spange 2nd Class - 1st Pattern

I jus got this piece from a forum member and I wonder whether it would not be nice to start a thread about the first pattern Spangen. I know that George has one to and I guess some more can join in. It would be interesting to find out how many possible manufacturer were there. I guess all the early pieces are unmarked (mine is and it should be actually, if the say is correct that those were only awarded in the early days). Please post yours..

Here's a closer look at my second example. This exact Spange is pictured on page 102 (top) of Gordon's book.

          Dietrich,
Is this thread only for second class Spange or do you want pics of early first class as well?

And this one. On this one it doesn't really look curved but it is and is more noticable from the back

It is a one piece construction, made of Zink with two prongs.

                  Brett,
I think all 1st Pattern Spangen would be nice then we have it all in one.
