    Does Hitler's EK1 award document still exist??

    What EXACTLY did Cpl. Hilter do to earn an EK1?? Does the award document or any paperwork still exist?? Just curious....

    He delivered an important message (he was a dispatcher), where others have falied before / were KIA. As far as I know, that message saved the front.

    It should be noted that it was not easy to won an EKI in WWI; you could compare it to a DKiG of WWII.

      Thank you, I was thinking it had to be something very notable for a corporal to earn one, especially an austrian corporal.

        He was member of the bavarian reg. "List". Austrians did not fought in france.
