HI guys,What's your thoughts on this clasp, It looks good to me but I have never seen a backing plate on one before? Any thought's or photos of another one? Thanks In advance !!

wow, I've never seen one either.
The spange looks very 'aged' and the reverse pins look artificially aged. If this aging is for real, why the clean ribbon that it's been on for so long?

Just my obsevations, some have been mentioned before:
1) highly unusual backing plate, I have never seen it before
2) ribbon looks like a reproduction
3) spange has terrible obverse detail, looks like a casting from a Deumer
4) aging not consistent with ribbon
Add all these and the feeling is not very positive.Cheers, Frank
