Probably just hit it with some sort of a chisel . As you can see, the damage on the left wing frame correlates to the damage on the swaz. Strange thing is it was repainted later! Got a whole bunch on badges like this one from a UK vet without the hardware. Must have been ripped off POW's uniforms or something.
