I'd have to agree with Kraut72. Though the pics quality for the finer detail isn't great, I cant match that cross to a know maker's style.
Also, and again it may just be the pic, there looks to be a line of black paint over the beading at the junction of the twelve and nine o'clock arms?
I will say though that as repros go it's a pretty good effort!

                    See this thread: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...27#post4982927

I have often wondered, because of the existence of a 1957 version cross using this frame, whether there was any possibility that this frame might have been used to manufacture real wartime crosses, but have been unable to find out any further information.

The ribbon doesn't appear to be of the recognised construction for a period wartime one. The white band thread count appears to be less than 20.

Rich is correct. The ribbon is 100% fake, with a set-up seen commonly with fake crosses (and very infrequently with a real cross).

This cross could be good as a filler in someones collection

                            Thank You for your help.

So it is the style frame and the dipping ring that tell the story with a bad ribbon
to put icing on the cake.

What about the the core? are the dates details and placement also wrong ?

I was confused by RKs too until I bought and learnt Dietrich maerz's excellent book. Cant fault it and I'd recommend buying it.
Each maker has very distinct markers on their RKs making it relatively easy to spot a bad one. The basic rule is if it's not one of the known makers it a repro. This cross doesn't conform to these basic markers.
As to the ribbon I'll happily defer to the guys who really know them.
