Replacement
You are ofcourse right But there where a demand for oaks/swords produced for the 1957 cross. Its not within the 57 regulations, but still produced to the original award holders for there 57 award. Maybe the right words would be postwar replacement oaks produced for the 1957 KC??? or something like that.
But anyway the Oaks starting this thread, I think we all agree are fakes.

Something like that is a copy, isn't it?
Or, as I wrote it in another forum, should we call it 'collateral damage'?
But I think, that copy is short and precise.

Hi bobcam1,
your comment is nice, but not helpful.
Post war produced Oaks or Oakleaves with Swords (KC) could never be originals.
In the post-war era the Oaks and Oakleaves with Swords (KC) had been produced long before the law from 1957.
After the law from 1957 the makers could use the same maufacturing techniques, the same stamping tools, nothing had to be changed.
