    EKI L55 screwback survey

There are two known marks used to mark the EKI L55 screwback, L55 with square around it, and L55 without square. I am trying to decide if these different stamps had a meaning to the manufacturer or not. If you have this EKI is it magnetic or non-magnetic and what type of stamp was used. I have both, so I will start:

    L55 with square - magnetic
    L55 - non-magnetic

          L55

I made a mistake in labeling my L55, with a box is non-mag and without is mag. What I was looking for was a pattern where the maker would mark his mag and non-mag with different stamps so they could be identified. But in the book George and Dietrich list the L55 with box as being magnetic. Thanks for the input. Jim

            Hi Jim,

            So this one is non-magnetic?

            Interesting.

I know this mark [L55] mostly on EK2s -- maybe those who own [L55] marked EK2s could comment here also?
