I got a Souval EK2, it is marked 98 on the ribbon suspention ring. But from all I have read, I can fin nothing regarding the following: The cross ring, not the ribbon suspention ring, is only soldered to one side of the cross. This one is also a caracteristic of the Souval as well, but what does it mean, is it a pre 1945 cross or is it a post 1945 cross. Please I need help, to find more from this EK2. Regards, Carlos

Hello Carlos,
If I understand you correctly you want to know if your 98 marked EKII, with jump ring only soldered on the obverse side, is period authentic. Those traits would indeed be found on a Souval cross however good clear photos of both sides would enable a more educated opinion.
Kind Regards,
Stu
