    EK2 Übergroß?

Been slowly getting back into TR crosses so I recently bought this EK2 because it looked bigger than a normal sized one. When I got home and compared it to a normal sized EK2, the arms were not much bigger (only by a few mm). However, the frames are much thicker and the features like the swastica are much bigger. Even the beading on the frames are much bigger. Im not familiar with the different Übergroß crosses other than the knowledge that they exist so all the info you guys can contribute is much appreciated

Here is a side view but not sure if it helps. This cross is unmarked, three piece and magnetic.

      Hi Lee,

It's not an übergroße cross, but it is a nice Deschler.

Comparing it to a EK1 in Maerz's and Stimson's book I can clearly see that now. Now all I need is to find a marked one for the collection

I've had quite a few Deschlers over the years, I don't know if they were 'heavy' or not, and I don't have records of them all.
But, the ones I do have weights for are:

                        25.2g
                        23.8g
                        24.6g

                        What weight is yours Douglas?

                        Regards - Danny

                          Interesting Danny ;
I see some weight variation already . It seams to be (relativly speaking) a regular and a heavy Deschler then ? Or is the flextuating weight only do to regular thick and actualy over thick crosses which are heavier .
That one of mine runs at 26 grams .

                            Thanks Douglas,

                            Hmmm...
Makes me wish I had weighed the other ones before I sold them.
I have only one other which I will weigh tomorrow.

                            Regards - Danny
